Our Services
Parent Leadership Training: Assists parents in strengthening their leadership skills and their involvement in their school and community. These trainings are individualized and are applicable to parents of children of all ages. The trainings include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Set and carryout goals for self and family
- Build a personal support network
- Learn methods to stay involved in your child’s education
- Work in partnership with other parents
- Become an effective advocate
*Training is based on the Community Organizing & Family Issues Model.
Portfolio Trainings: Parents learn how to create their own Portfolio and be ready to take advantage of any opportunity they wish to pursue. This is a great way to learn record keeping, for important data.
The Right Question: This workshop helps parents to learn skills to prioritize the kind of information they need and develop specific questions that will help them obtain the answers, so that they can make the best decision possible.
Transitioning Your Skills to School: This training will help parents develop their own "Transition Plan" for staying involved in their children’s education.
Trainings such as, protective factors, child safety, and other various topics can be given in an interactive café-style format.
