Adoptions
Providing a child or children with a permanent family. A successful adoption has a child growing up with a healthy and secure identity.
ADOPTION IS DEFINED AS:
A legal and child welfare function provided to a child in order to achieve permanence and security with another set of parents when the birth parents of the child are unable to assume parental responsibility of the child.
SERVICES:
- Home Studies:
Evaluation completed specifically for adoption chosen by individual. - Post-Placement:
Completing post placement reports for the courts or for the referring agency. - International Adoptions:
Completion of Home Study and facilitation of adoption with linkage to placing agencies. Competition of Post-Placement visits as required. - Independent Adoptions:
Provide services to families who have independently matched with birth parent for adoption. This can include the Home Study and Post-Placement visits.
- Licensed by the State of Illinois.
- At least 21 years of age.
COSTS:
Total costs vary, depending on the specific service.
