Giving Today / Annual Giving
Monetary Donations
The most common form of an annual gift is an unrestricted monetary donation to help us provide "Healing Today for a Brighter Tomorrow." Seasonal Appeals are conducted to assist with additional expenses occurring at certain times during the year:
- Christmas
- Back to School
- Vacation/Summer
Acknowledgements and receipts for tax records are issued immediately after each gift is received.
In-Kind Donations
In-Kind donations take many forms. The following "Wish List" items are always useful to UMCH (preferrably new or in good condition):

New bedding
- twin set sheets & comforters for adolescent males & females
- Towels / washcloths

Kitchen towels

Kitchen supplies
- silverware, dinner ware, cookie sheets, pots & pans, cooking utensils

Personal care items
- shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair care products for African American hair, deodorant, lotion
- School Supplies
- pencils, paper, colored pencils, markers, art project kits, caluculator, back pack
