Foster Care - 2011 High School Graduates

Graduation season is a time of celebration for hundreds and thousands of youth across the nation.  At United Methodist Children’s Home in Mt. Vernon, we too are celebrating our youth.  The Family Supported Adolescent Foster Care Program recently had 7 of its youth graduate from High School.  This is a great achievement for these youth.  These teen agers have had the benefit of a stable foster home, a long term relationship with their case workers and ongoing guidance and encouragement from their foster parents.

The journey they have made has not been easy but with the continued guidance of their foster parents, they have succeeded.  It is with great pride that we congratulate these youth and tell them how proud we are of them and their accomplishment.

United Methodist Children’s Home has a Family Supported Adolescent Foster Care Program that is hiring foster parents who can provide a stable home life to help teens heal from trauma.  We are looking for families who can provide compassionate care with Christian values.  Our foster parents will see things through to the end no matter how difficult that might be.  Foster parents will help teens develop life skills and teach teens how to become independent.

Join the UMCH foster care team to provide Healing Today for Brighter Tomorrow.
