With Special Thanks

Joe Bob Pierce was recently presented with a sketch of what is now known as Home 300 located on the campus of UMCH to thank him for his leadership and service. Joe Bob recently retired from the Governing Board of Directors after serving since January 2000. During the last 3 years he had accepted the responsibility of Secretary of the Board and completed all necessary documentation and notification personally without staff assistance. Home 300, which was historically known as the Tanner House and was constructed in 1866, has special significance to Joe Bob. On November 22, 1930, as an infant, he was left on the door step of this home. After only a few days, he went to the home of Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Pierce in Mt. Vernon who adopted him in 1931.
