The youth and staff of the United Methodist Children’s Home held their 4th Annual Live Nativity on Friday, December 12th. Each year the community is invited to drive through the UMCH main campus to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas. Three scenes were set up to portray the Christmas miracle, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Live animals were in the nativity, including a camel, donkey and sheep.

“The Angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” Luke 2:10

“And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger…” Luke 2:7

“Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2
We would like to thank all of the local choirs that sang at this year’s Live Nativity:
Mount Vernon First United Methodist Church, Pavey Chapel, Casey Avenue Baptist Church, King City Church of God, Central Christian Church, and our very own UMCH Choir.
Thank you to all of the staff and youth that volunteered to be a part of the Nativity, enduring the cold winter weather. And a very special thank you to everyone who drove through, stopped by, and took part in any way making this the most successful Live Nativity we have had.
