YouthBuild at Jefferson County Historical Village

For the past few weeks, YouthBuild has been hard at work to erect a storage building behind the Historical Village at the Jefferson County Historical Society.

This is a great opportunity for the participants of YouthBuild to learn work skills and have their accomplishments displayed in the community.

YouthBuild participants are typically low income, at-risk, high school drop-outs between the ages of 17-24.  The program focuses on providing academic training, job skill development, leadership development & community service.  Two days a week participants are in GED class, two days a week they are learning work skills, and on Fridays they give back to the community by completing community service projects.
